I’m Jane
My name is Jane, and I am a former Southerner living in Seattle. June Dodge became my alter ego when a newspaper got my real name wrong. For more than a decade, I’ve managed the food function for an artists retreat I founded, and while I never expected to become a caterer via this experience, I have developed a knack for feeding people with unpretentious, delicious dishes that don’t pre-empt why folks are consuming them: For community, sustenance, and nurture.
I launched June Dodge Culinary in 2024 and continue to feed artists on retreat, and I am now widening my practice to a broader audience via the meal delivery platform Shef. I am also exploring ways to serve additional small groups via work as a personal chef and by offering meal preparation for additional retreat clientele. In addition to a Washington food handler’s card, I also hold a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification which is an important credential for handling chilled and frozen food and delivering it. I believe that groups of diners with disparate diets and preferences can nonetheless share the same delicious, inclusive meal. Small batch, big heart.
